MARLIN- Caught year-round with the prime months being December through March, then August through September. January and February can be exceptional for Marlin. SAILFISH- Caught year-round. Sailfish tend to show in greater numbers during months of May, June, July, and August. DORADO- Caught year-round. During the rainy season (May- November), a great number of Dorado are found under numerous debris lines offshore which come from the coastal rivers pouring into the ocean. WAHOO- Even though they are found year-round, greater numbers of Wahoo are caught during the rainy season. YELLOWFIN TUNA- Caught year-round. Smaller 20lb sized yellow fin tuna can be found schooling the inshore reef just off the beach from Pelada. The larger giants in the 250-300lb. size range found near large dolphin pods migrate through the offshore fishing grounds making easier access to the tuna. Prime months for Giant Yellow fin Tuna are August through November. ROOSTERFISH- Found year-round. Roosters like the structure of the rocky shorelines and are best found in 40 to 60ft. of water around local reefs and river mouths. CUBERA SNAPPER- Large Cuberas’ can be caught by live baiting or by dropping irons down on the inshore reefs and rock piles. These snapper can reach up to 100lbs. plus and can be caught all year-round.
